FOUNDER & CEO: Zaina A. Chaudhry
Zaina A. Chaudhry is the visionary behind Luminize, a platform born from her deep belief in the power of personal stories. Inspired by the patients she encountered in clinics and hospitals, Zaina realized that behind every diagnosis is a voice that often goes unheard. These stories opened her eyes to the deeper, systemic inequities woven into healthcare and the urgent need to address them.
She founded Luminize to help others come to that same realization: that storytelling isn’t just reflective, it’s revolutionary. Through this platform, Zaina invites others to listen closely, think critically, and join a growing movement to humanize and transform healthcare from the inside out
Cyanna Padmore
Cyanna Padmore is a third-year medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She is passionate about advancing health equity and exploring the intersections of medicine, public health, and community engagement. Her academic interests include women’s health, primary care, and global health. Cyanna strives to integrate cultural humility and patient advocacy into her clinical practice. In the future, she hopes to become a physician who empowers patients through education, empathy, and equitable care.
Malaika JAWED
Malaika Jawed recently completed the Narrative Medicine program at Columbia University and is currently working as an Associate Consultant at Wildfire Strategies. This fall, she began a Master’s in Creative Writing at University College in Cork, Ireland. With over six years of experience as an emergency medical technician, Malaika hopes to bridge the humanities, creativity, and medicine her mission is to help build a more patient-centered healthcare system, one that also prioritizes provider well-being.
